Sagrada Familia Fast Track Ticket

One of his greatest works, the Sagrada Familia has an interesting history in that the first foundation stone was laid in 1882, but the building was never completed.

It is expected that some of it will be completed in 2026 (144 years after the first foundation stone was laid) and the rest of the work will continue until 2034. The Sagrada Familia has UNESCO World Heritage Site status.

The spires represent the Twelve Apostles, the Four Evangelists, the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ. There are three main façades, namely, the Passion Façade, the Nativity Façade and the Glory Façade.

The interior is laid out as a Latin Cross with five aisles and a central vault. The columns are in the shape of branches and the stained glass windows are exceptionally beautiful.

You can make your way to the upper galleries by using a lift or work your way up via the impressive spiral staircase.

Also at the church, is Gaudi’s crypt and a museum where you will be given information about the building’s design.

A visit to this marvelous church is a must to really appreciate Gaudi’s extraordinary talent.

Park Güell Entry Ticket

Antoni Gaudi’s quirky creation is an astounding feat after having had to abandon his original plans to build a housing estate.

After only selling two of the planned plots, the project came to a standstill until the Barcelona City Council bought the property in 1918; with just the house-museum and the Trias house on it.

The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was opened in 1922.

The park has a variety of things to see, for example:

* a salamander statue that greets you at the entrance to the garden;

* a serpentine bench that encloses the Nature Garden;

* the Austria Gardens where you can view different types of plants;

* Gaudi’s house where he resided with his father and niece, and is now a museum - with rooms that has been recreated to display his personal items;

* the Hypostyle Room which features 86 towering columns on which the serpentine bench rests;

* the Washer Room Portico with slanting pillars and statues, and

* walking paths.

The garden is a must for anyone who wants to see a variety of the artists’ wonderful collections situated on the same premises for a leisurely stroll.
